History of Miniatürk in Istanbul

Miniatürk was inaugurated in 2003 as Turkey’s first and largest miniature park, covering 60,000 square meters. Developed to highlight Turkey’s rich historical and cultural heritage, it features scaled-down replicas of iconic landmarks from different civilizations, including the Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman eras.

The park was designed as an educational and cultural hub, offering both local and international visitors a chance to explore Turkey’s architectural legacy in a single location. With over 130 miniature models, interactive exhibits, and engaging visitor experiences, Miniatürk has become one of Istanbul’s most visited open-air museums.
